Responsibilities include supervising employees, coordinating work activities, coordinating/overseeing financial transactions, administering the City&#8217;s investment programs, managing the annual audit and production of financial statements and reports, overseeing maintenance of the City&#8217;s financial responsibilities, and ensuring financial integrity and adherence with standards set by Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and the Government Accounting Standards Board (GASB). Reports to the City Manager. 
<p>Qualifications:<br />Bachelor&#8217;s degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or closely related field; supplemented by at least five (5) years of progressively responsible experience that includes governmental accounting, financial management, budgeting, purchasing, and managerial experience in a government environment requiring application of Generally Accepted Accounting Policies (GAAP). Certified Government Finance Manager (CGFM) certification or Certified Public Finance Officer (CPFO) preferred. Working knowledge of MS Office Suite and required and experience with Quick Books Enterprise Financial System is preferred.
