Local Government Risk Management Services (LGRMS)
Safety/Loss Control Field Representative, Southern Georgia Territory
 
LGRMS a non-profit corporation, providing Safety/Loss Control Services to the Association County Commissioners of Georgia and the Georgia Municipal Association’s Risk Management Departments, is seeking a Safety/Loss Control Field Representative for our Southern Georgia territory.

The LGRMS Field Representative’s duties include meeting with all levels of city/county staff to conduct site surveys of all applicable city/county departments to evaluate exposures & controls in place, make recommendations for corrective action or program improvement, provide training programs on a variety of safety/loss control/law enforcement topics either onsite or as part of the LGRMS regional training programs, and overall assist local governments in developing or improving employee, property or liability loss prevention and loss control efforts.
 
Requirements for the Field Representative position include a Bachelor’s Degree and at least 4 years of Law Enforcement experience, preferably with a general knowledge of safety/loss control/insurance.
 
Job skill requirements include a basic knowledge in the following areas:
• Law Enforcement;
• Workers compensation, property, & casualty insurance principles;
• Risk management, safety/loss control;
• Ability to develop and prepare training programs;
• Ability to work from home without direct supervision planning & organizing all LGRMS services within the Southern Territory;
• Availability to travel inside and outside of the Southern Territory as needed;
• Excellent written, oral, organizational & presenting skills;
• Computer skills, use of programs to write reports, letters, make presentations.
 
Applicants should currently reside in the LGRMS Southern Territory which is approximately the lower one third of the state, roughly a line across the state that includes Quitman to Crisp to Jeff Davis to Glynn Counties.
