The City of Watkinsville is looking for a dynamic individual to serve as the director of its newly established downtown development authority. 

The Director will be responsible for the development, execution, implementation, and documentation of the Downtown Development Authority's activities.

The Director will be an employee of the city and under the day-to-day supervision and direction of the City Manager. The Director will work with the local government and the Downtown Development Authority Board of Directors in determining overall development objectives and creating action plans. The Director will have responsibility for project oversight and administration.

The Director will be responsible for promoting development through various public relations initiatives and events; working cooperatively and effectively with businesses and property owners and prospective developers; identifying and securing grant funding; and performing all administrative functions associated with development authority activities.
