• Represent the City of Riverdale with homeowner associations, neighborhood watch groups, school functions, civic clubs, and others. • Coordinate interdepartmental community outreach initiatives and identify community projects for City participation. • Create synergy between the City and local businesses for the betterment of the entire community. • Assist in marketing economic development opportunities through press releases, marketing programs, and events. • Assist Keep Riverdale Beautiful with the promotion of events, increasing awareness, and volunteer support. • Initiate community roundtables on specific topics to identify and address concerns. • Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining long-range strategic plans for employee recruitment for the city. • Document and maintain data on events, outreach initiatives, programs, and community efforts. • Prepare and maintain comprehensive data collected from other local government agencies. • Vigorously and consistently utilize all identifiable marketing sources including the city website, GLGA, Indeed.com, Constant Contact, local government cable access, local job fairs, colleges, universities, and others. • Assist the Town Center Director and Recreation Director on a limited basis in marketing Cultural • Affairs and/or Recreation programs, events, and activities. • Compose written press releases, public service announcements, and media advisories as directed. • Monitor local, state, and national media sources for information pertinent to the City government. • Exercise judgment, decisiveness, and creativity in situations involving broader aspects of organizational programs and operations. • Manage social media accounts, create content for posts, maintain a schedule for posts, and respond to inquiries via social media channels. • Attend meetings and make presentations as needed: attend various community activities and special events. • Perform other duties as assigned.p >
