Job Summary:
This position is responsible maintaining the accounts receivable records, collecting timekeeping information, incorporating a variety of deductions into a periodic payroll, issuing pay to employees, account analysis, financial reporting, and assisting with other accounting duties for the County.

Job Requirements:
The preferred applicant must possess an Associate’s Degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field from an accredited college or university; plus a minimum of three years’ of payroll processing experience; or any equivalent combination of education and experience which provides a sufficient level of understanding of the essential duties of the position. Experience and knowledge of finance, financial systems, budgeting, financial outlooks, business controls, and audit interface including basic accounting practices. Experience in governmental generally accepted accounting principles preferred. Experience working with County Government preferred. Possess exceptional interpersonal communication, data entry and organizational skills. Skilled in operating modern office equipment and performing analysis and mathematical calculations on computer. Applicant must possess a valid Georgia driver license and maintain a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
