McDuffie County Board of Commissioners is now accepting applications for the position of Planning and Zoning Director in the Development Services Department. 

This is a highly responsible professional administrative position in directing the activities of the Planning Commission in interpreting and implementing federal guidelines, state laws and local ordinances pertaining to land use, development, and zoning.  Work involves the responsibility for integrating diverse projects and the overall operations of the County Planning Commission to reach the objectives of the County.  Work also involves representing the County and City on all planning and zoning related matters. 

Minimum qualifications includes:  Bachelor’s degree in Planning, Business Administration, Public Administration, Engineering, or related field; three to five years’ work experience in an administrative capacity in one of the above fields or related fields; a valid driver’s license
