Crew Leader

The City of Americus is seeking three (3) qualified candidates to fill the positions of Crew Leader. The starting salary for this position is $ 31,118.00 annually ($14.96 hourly).

As a Crew Leader, it will be your responsibility to lead and engage in manual labor and equipment operation work for water and/or sewer maintenance and construction projects for the City of Americus. You will serve as the leader of an assigned crew:  provides direction, assistance and guidance to crew members; demonstrates proper techniques; and ensures all safety practices are followed on the job site; prioritizes and assigns daily work tasks; and ensures the crew has the proper tools, equipment and materials to complete daily assignments, along with other duties as assigned.
 

Requirements include High school diploma or GED; supplemented by one year of experience performing street or water/sewer maintenance work to include operating construction equipment and using hand and power tools; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills and abilities for this job. Must possess and maintain a valid Georgia driver’s license.
