Plans, directs and coordinates agency-wide information technology and telecommunications management in support of the agency. Oversees the strategic oversight of all aspects of IT including working with division, department and program staff in support of evaluation, development and implementation of information and telecommunications needs. Responsible for and guides ongoing operations to ensure compliance with IT practices in utilization of technology; following a well-established strategic IT Plan. Evaluates products and determines product costs for selection of IT and telecommunication infrastructure. Supervises and plans the work of the IT staff.
Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university AND
Ten years of directly related management experience OR
One year of experience at the lower level Sr. Mgr, Info Technology (ITM023) or position equivalent.
In addition to the minimum qualifications, preference will be given to candidates who have a Masters in Information Technology or a related field and at least two years of experience with HRIS and Financial software (e.g., Munis, NetSmart (InSight), PeopleSoft, UltiPro, ADP, etc.) desktop support, network support and/or hands on Microsoft Server support. Two years of managing significant technical projects and experience in electronic health records. Experience with building and maintaining internal and external relationships as well as experience working in a state or local governmental information technology environment.
