Under general supervision, provides professional nursing care in accordance with established nurse protocols. Works in the program area of adult health (STD, Breast and Cervical Cancer Program, Family Planning) and will also work in child health and immunization/travel clinics. Performs client assessment, provides treatments, educates clients on health problems and provide the necessary referrals to internal and external health care providers. Participates in outreach services in the community for health fairs and administering immunizations such as flu shots. Assists with weekly and monthly inventory. Performs other duties as needed.
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university AND Current Georgia license to practice as a Registered Professional nurse AND CPR certification OR Associate’s degree/diploma in Nursing from an accredited college AND One year of PHN experience AND completion of a PHN course within one year of hire AND current Georgia Registered Professional Nurse license AND CPR certification.
Experience working with women, infants and children. Also, experience working with diverse populations.
