COUNTY MANAGER – Full-time Exempt
Salary Range: $85,000 - $100,000
Catoosa County, Georgia seeks a County Manager with excellent organizational skills and experience in administration, finance and budgeting, contracting, strategic planning, human resources and personnel management. The County Manager is appointed by a five member Board of County Commissioners. Under the direction of, and serving at the pleasure of, the Board of Commissioners, the County Manager performs complex, executive-level work planning, directing and coordinating the overall operation of County government. The County Manager directs, administers, coordinates and implements the activities of the County to ensure compliance with County policies, ordinances, and goals and objectives established by the Board. The County Manager provides support and leadership for the Board by coordinating and assisting in the development and implementation of the annual budget, implementing the annual budget and overseeing grants and major projects.
A successful candidate must be a graduate from an accredited 4-year college or university with a degree in Public or Business Administration or related field with a concentration in public budgeting, finance, management, or policy analysis from an accredited college or university;A Master’s Degree in a related field is preferred;Extensive experience (5-10 years) as a County or City Manager, an Assistant County or City Manager or as the Chief Administrator of a department/division of an organization.Considerable experience (5-8 years) in finance, planning, or budgeting, as well as managing professionals engaged in such activities; Experience (3-5 years) with boards, committees, and agency constituencies.
