Public Works Director
Minimum of 40 Hours per Week
Based upon qualifications and experience.
This position is responsible for planning, organizing, and directing the daily operations of the Polk County Public Works Department. This position reports directly to the County Manager.
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Public Works Management, Public Administration, Business Management, or related field/major; eight years of progressive experience in civil engineering, or related field, to include extensive management responsibilities; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this position. Must possess and maintain a valid Driver’s License.
