The Toccoa-Stephens County Probation Department is accepting applications for the position of a Chief Probation Officer.
The purpose of this position is to perform administrative and technical tasks and to supervise the processing of all misdemeanor cases in the City of Toccoa and Stephens County.
Tasks include but are not limited to meeting with probationers, collecting fines, fees, scheduling community service work, completing administrative duties and performing related accounting tasks.
Minimum qualifications for this position include; must be twenty-one (21) years of age, have an associate’s degree in Criminal Justice with four years of law enforcement experience as a certified peace officer or jurisdictional equivalent at the time of appointment. Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license. Must be or have the ability to become licensed to conduct drug screens. Applicant must complete a criminal background check with no felony convictions.
Applications will be received at the Stephens County Board of Commissioners Office in the Historic Courthouse at 37 West Tugalo Street, Toccoa, GA 30577 through May 31, 2018.
