Cobb County is seeking an individual for the Planner I position with the Community Development Agency - Zoning Division. The positin is primarily a current planning position where the candidate will handle review of plats, site plans, rezoning and variance applications, and other functions to ensure proper land entitlement on properties in the unincorporated county.
Bachelor’s Degree in Urban Planning, Civil Engineering, or related field required; supplemented by one year of experience in planning, zoning or related field; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job. While performing the essential functions of this job the employee is frequently required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and lift and/or move up to 10 to 20 pounds. While performing the essential functions of this position the employee is rarely exposed to disagreeable environmental factors.
Salary & Benefits
$20.78 – 33.24 per hour based on education and experience.
