Assistant Gas Superintendent Trainee (AGST)

Job Summary

The City of Monticello is accepting applications for an Assistant Gas Superintendent Trainee (AGST). The trainee assists and supports the operation of gas system by learning to operate under direct supervision to ensure reliability and safety through monitoring and controlling of pressures and flow rates on city’s gas system. This role is responsible for training to be responsible for directing operations on the natural gas distribution pipelines and City’s regulator stations, managing field operations and coordinates tie-in on distribution pipeline and regulator facility replacement projects.

Minimum: High School diploma or GED Driver’s License Plumbing & equipment experience Ability to learn Federal and State regulations.

Preferred: Field experience in Natural gas 2 years Supervisory experience
