Water Distribution/Sewer Collection Supervisor

Job Description:          
Performs administrative and supervisory duties. This position is responsible for supervising the construction, repair and maintenance of the city’s water and sewer collection systems. Makes water/sewer taps for new customers. Installs, replaces and repairs water meters and other duties as assigned.
 
Minimum Requirements:
Applicants must have a High School Diploma or equivalent.
Applicants must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen
Knowledge and level of competency commonly associated with completion of specialized training in the field of work, in addition to basic skills typically associated with a high school education.
Experience sufficient to thoroughly understand the work of subordinate positions to be able to answer questions and resolve problems, usually associated with one to three years’ experience or service.
Possession of or ability to readily obtain a valid state issued driver’s license for the type of vehicle or equipment operated.
Possession of or ability to readily obtain an appropriate state-certified license for water or wastewater treatment or distribution as appropriate
