Director, Landfill Processing and Disposal

General Description:
This position is responsible for the overall operation and supervision of the landfill facilities.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, or in a course of study related to the occupational field.
  • A sufficient amount of experience to thoroughly understand the diverse objectives and functions of the operating department in order to direct and coordinate work within the department, usually associated with three to five years in a management/supervisory capacity.
  • Public Sector and/or landfill experience preferred.
  • Must be certified by the State of Georgia as a landfill operator within 12 months of appointment or hire.
  • Must already possess or obtain National Incident Management Systems (NIMS) 100, 200, 700, and 800 within three (3) months of employment.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license from state of residency.
