The Burke County Board of Commissioners is looking for an experienced professional to supervise and coordinate the programs and activities of the newly established Animal Control Department of the County. This position also coordinates shelter construction; adoption of ordinances and procedures related to animal control, and the County’s efforts to address dangerous dogs and stray dogs and cats. Qualified applicants must have at least 3 years of experience in animal control and a Bachelor’s Degree with a major in animal science or a related field. If you do not have a degree, but have at least 6 years of animal control experience you will meet this qualification.
