The County Manager works under the direction of and serves at the pleasure of the Board of Commissioners and performs general management of the county’s daily operations. The County Manager must have knowledge of federal, state and county laws, rules, and regulations, policies and procedures to ensure compliance. Must have outstanding communication skills including public speaking, experience in community and economic development, an ability to build positive relationships with the community and other governing bodies, be innovative and able to think outside the box. This position is responsible for daily supervision of all employees in the Board of Commissioner’s Office and for the daily supervision of all county Department Heads. Master’s Degree in Public Administration, Business Administration or a closely related field strongly encouraged, Bachelor’s degree minimum, and 4 to 5 years’ experience in a similar position. This is an appointed position and reports directly to the Board of Commissioners. Salary is commensurate with experience. Applications will be accepted until position is filled.
