JOB SPECIFIC DUTIES
: Under broad supervision of the Division Director of the Office of Intermodal Programs, the Transit Program Manager provides direction and management to a professional staff in the administration of the Department’s statewide transit program. The responsibilities of this position include a demonstrated understanding of federal grant administration and financial oversight of grant funds received from the Federal Transit Administration including but not limited to 5303, 5304, 5307, 5311, 5316, 5316, 5339 programs; subrecipient oversight and financial administration; project management; procurement; National Transit Database (NTD) reporting and coordination with local, regional and statewide transportation partners to assist in the development of regional and statewide transportation plans to guide investment priorities. The Transit Program Manager must provide leadership, craft policies and procedures, and assist as needed at all levels, including transit managers, planners, government officials, other stakeholders and the private sector regarding public transportation policy and program.
