This is skilled work in fire prevention, fire suppression, and basic emergency medical services. Work involves operating fire apparatus and rescue vehicles, fighting fires, performing search and rescue, and performing medical services as authorized under the basic emergency medical technician certification. Work also includes the performance of routine duties in the maintenance and up keep of the fire station, vehicles and equipment.  Requires completion of a standard high school course or its equivalent. Successful completion of state-mandated basic fire fighting training and certification as a basic emergency medical technician. EOE.
