POLICE OFFICER (NON-CERTIFIED)

This is general law enforcement work performed in the capacity of police trainee. Work involves assisting certified peace officers in routine patrol work such as responding to emergency calls, citizen complaints and alarms. This classification is considered to be a transitional classification. Completion of a standard high school course or its equivalent/possession of a valid Georgia Driver’s License. EOE

SR. POLICE OFFICER (CERTIFIED)
This is general law enforcement work of protecting life and property and enforcing laws and ordinances. Work involves routine patrol work such as responding to emergency calls and citizen complaints/alarms.  Duties include preliminary investigations, special detail assignments, administrative duties or other special assignments as assigned by superiors. Requires basic certification as a Georgia Peace Officer. Completion of a standard high school course or its equivalent/possession of a valid Georgia Drivers License. EOE
