The person in this position is responsible for assisting in the general maintenance and cleaning in an assigned city department or area. Duties include assisting in the routine and regular cleaning sanitizing, sweeping, mopping and vacuuming of floors and making minor equipment and facility repairs. Performs all custodial duties at Recreation Center (internal and external); cleans and mops rooms/lobby areas; vacuums carpeted areas; cleans parking lots/grounds; removes trash from containers; cleans gymnasium and kitchen facilities; shampoos carpets. Sets up all meeting rooms; sets up audio-visual equipment for clients/programs/reservations scheduled for facility. Performs minor facilities maintenance and repairs; repairs doors, locks, equipment, and tables; paints facilities as needed; informs supervisor of any building problems; cleans air vents; changes light bulbs and fixtures. Notify supervisor of issues and maintenance repairs. Maintain current and accurate records for auditing, record keeping and preventative maintenance. Ensures cleaning chemicals and equipment are secured at all times when on duty for safety from patrons and children. Enforces Recreation Center policies and City ordinances. Greets public and provides quality customer service. Performs other related duties as required
Requires a High school diploma or equivalent. Requires a valid Georgia Driver’s License.
