Fayette County is currently seeking a Financial Analyst in it's Finance Department.  This position is SPLOST funded and is subject to end when SPLOST funds have been expended.  This is a full time position with benefits.  This position will focus mainly on SPLOST related projects and funding for this position is tied to the SPLOST meaning this position could be eliminated at the conclusion of SPLOST funded project completion.  This is a full-time position, with benefits. This position needs to be a self-starter and a multi-tasker.  The position is responsible for analysis and reporting of all transactions, while maintaining accurate and complete records, performing physical inventories of the County’s fixed assets, maintaining accurate and complete records of these assets, property and casualty insurance, functions related to project management of the CIP and Capital programs for Governmental and Proprietary funds, tracking information related to bonds, and any other requested reports.  The Financial Analyst(s) also assists in year-end audit financial reporting and CAFR preparation.  Major duties are centered around reporting and analysis, governmental funds, proprietary funds, budget and asset management.  PLEASE REFER TO THE FULL JOB DESCRIPTION FOR SPECIFIC DETAILS ABOUT THIS POSITION.
 
Requires knowledge of governmental accounting practices, governmental budget development and procedures and computers and job related software programs, to include Microsoft’s Office Suite.  Requires skill in analyzing and reporting, public and interpersonal relations, researching and preparing reports, effective oral and written communication and prioritizing and multi-tasking.
