Columbus Consolidated Government is seeking A Human Resources Analyst. The Human Resources Analyst will Oversee, design, and implement the City's compensation and benefits programs; research, evaluate and make recommendations on compensation and benefit packages; monitor the payroll interface to ensure compliance and data integrity; responsible for accurate data collection and analysis, maintains accurate employee records; administers Family Medical Leave Act requests and requirements, maintains contact with other jurisdictions, legal staff, local organizations, and federal and state agencies; researches and applies compensation laws and regulations; monitors legal changes and trends and develops recommendations for compliance and updating; works with supervisors, department directors, and elected officials to resolve compensation issues, turnover rates, and recruitment issues related to compensation.  Designs and conducts pay and benefit surveys; analyzes data and makes recommendations to the Human Resources Director.   Develops pay structures and allocation lists; assists in the Pay for Performance program; works with Financial Planning to develop annual salary budgets; analyzes and develops recommendations for new positions, deletions, and reclassifications; develops annual recommendations for maintenance for the City's pay plan; assists in annual benefit recommendations.  Performs special studies related to reclassification, department operations, cost-reduction programs, and program development; develops and presents training programs related to compensation and department or city-wide needs, including continuous improvement.  Supervises staff training and development, address performance appraisal matters, and benefits and compensation administration. Carries out a continuous effort to improve operations, work processes, and works cooperatively and jointly to provide continuous improvement and customer-driven service. 
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university required, preferably in Human Resources Management, Business Administration or a related field is required; two to three years of experience; knowledge and experience must be sufficient to thoroughly understand the basic principles of human resources management. 
Knowledge of current federal, state, and local laws and regulations pertaining to Human Resources. Knowledge of the principles and practices of human resources, including position classification, wage administration, employee relations, organizational development, and training.  Demonstrates financial management and budgeting skills, analytical and organizational skills. Knowledge of local government organizations and operations.  Knowledge of employee pay and benefit plans.  Knowledge of office administration practices and procedures such as letter writing and the operation of standard office equipment.  Knowledge of standard business arithmetic.  Skill in interpersonal relations.  Skill in using computers and various software programs.  Skill in designing, analyzing, and implementing policies, procedures, and programs.  Skill in oral and written communication.
The Columbus Consolidated Government offers an exceptional compensation and benefits packet. The salary range for this position is $44,535.61 – $67,766.20.  Benefits include the following:
