This position is responsible for technical work and inspections related to roadway, drainage and transportation capital improvement projects. Duties include inspection of construction, traffic control and erosion control within commercial/industrial developments, residential areas and county rights-of-way to ensure compliance with County, State, and Federal requirements. The incumbent will maintain logs, records, and as-built drawings; conduct pre-construction meetings; communicate with owners, engineers, contractors, developers, utility companies, and citizens; and coordinate efforts of various departments as needed. High school diploma or GED is required, as well as a valid Georgia driver’s license with acceptable driving history. Two years’ experience in inspections, roadway or utility construction, land use, public administration or related field desired.

Minimum starting pay is $15.19 per hour.
