Grady County Board of Commissioners is seeking a full time Finance Director to perform professional, administrative, and fiscal control work in planning and directing the financial operations of the County. The position reports to the County Administrator and administers an annual budget of approximately $13.5 million.
Duties include but are not limited to: Establishes, maintains and coordinates the accounting and financial systems of the County; establishes methods and procedures, directs the fiscal planning, internal control and internal auditing functions, assures the proper investment for the County’s idle funds, prepares reports on the financial status of the County and advises the Board of Commissioners and County Administrator on the financial operation of the County.
The successful candidate will be a graduate of a four year college with a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business/Public Administration, supplemented by five years previous experience and/or training that includes progressively responsible financial management, general accounting, budget development and administration, management and personal computer operations. Governmental Accounting would be preferred.
