Facilities Management Administrator

DUTIES:  Under limited supervision, manages facility and property management to include but not limited to vehicle fleet management, risk management, and records management. Manages and performs tasks related to the design, renovation, repair and maintenance of facilities or other structures. Assists with project management including gathering requirements and approving specifications for bids.  Develops strategic and long-term construction plans for the agency or institution. May develop internal procedures, applying sound principles used throughout the building and maintenance trades. Manages subordinate supervisors and staff. May serve as safety officer. This position requires maintaining 24-hour emergency on call availability.
 
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:   Bachelor's degree in engineering, business or a closely related field from an accredited college or university AND Four years of experience in construction and/or maintenance, One year of which as a supervisor/manager OR Associate's/Vocational/Technical degree in a related field from an accredited college or university AND Six years of experience in maintenance and/or general building construction, One year of which as a supervisor/manager OR High school diploma or GED AND Eight years of experience in maintenance and/or general building construction, One year of which as a supervisor/manager OR Two years of experience at the lower level Construction Spec Spv (FEP053) or position equivalent.
 
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: In addition to the minimum requirements, preference will be given to applicants with bachelor's degree in engineering, business or closely related field from an accredited college or university and Four years’ experience in construction and/or maintenance.
