JOB OPENING: Post Until Filled
FULL TIME FIREFIGHTER
WORK WEEK – Monday-Friday 8:00 am-4:30 pm
ANNUAL SALARY - $28,080
 
Minimum Qualifications:
  1. Candidate must be at least eighteen years of age
  1. High School graduate or General Education Development Equivalency
  1. Must possess and maintain a valid Driver’s License in the state of residency
  2. Must be able to pass the Catoosa County Fire Department written exam for a Recruit
  3. Must be able to pass the Catoosa County Fire Department Physical Agility Test (PFT)
  4. Must possess EMT-B or gain the certification within 18 months of employment
 
All applicants must be able to meet the following standards:
  1. Acquire the Georgia Firefighter Standard and Training Council Requirements to be certified as a Georgia Firefighter
  2. Pass a medical exam consistent with National Fire Protection Association Standard 1582
  3. Obtain EMT Certifications as set forth by the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians
 
        Post Offer Requirements:
  1. Post offer negative drug test (drug free workplace)
  2. Pass NPQ Firefighter I Certification (within 1 Year) and maintain throughout employment
  3. Valid Class E or F Driver’s License and maintain throughout employment
  4. Must maintain wellness and physical fitness.  Medical and psychological examinations as well as physical fitness testing will be required.
