Job Title: Sports Programs Manager
Department: Dawson County Parks & Recreation
Salary: $38,962 – $42,356 Annually
Status: Full-Time/Salary/Exempt
Job Summary:
This position is responsible for the oversight, delivery and implementation of athletic services and programs which meet the needs of the community.

Job Requirements:
Applicant must have a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, Sports Management, Leisure Services or a related field along with extensive experience in sports management, including at least three to five years of related experience and supervisory experience; or an equivalent combination of education, experience, special qualifications and training which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities necessary for the job. Applicant should have knowledge of principles and practices of recreation programming for all ages and how they relate to and support healthy social, emotional, and physical development; the rules and regulations of various sports: baseball, softball, football, soccer, and basketball; personnel administration and the supervising and training of others; how to operate modern office equipment and provide good oral and written communication. Applicant must possess a valid Georgia Driver’s License and maintain a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and must be able to pass a background check and a drug screening.
