Purpose of the Position: Under general supervision, performs advanced nursing functions and healthcare services in specialized areas. Operates under a written nurse protocol agreement with their delegating physician, conducts complete physicals, provides treatment, and counsels clients. May prescribe medication in some cases. This position works to promote and protect the health and safety of the residents of Cobb and Douglas Counties.
Essential Functions (include, but are not limited to):
Minimum Qualifications: Doctorate or Master’s degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university and/or other education requirements approved by the Georgia Board of Nursing AND certification in the specialty area(s) approved by Georgia Board of Nursing AND Two years of PH experience AND Georgia license as a Registered Professional Nurse AND Georgia license as a APRN AND current certification in specialty area AND CPR certification.
Preferred Qualifications: Professional experience in public health nursing. Experience in the specialized area of assignment. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Some public health and infectious disease experience helpful. Ability to speak Spanish preferred but not required.
Work Conditions & Physical Demands: This position does not require a lot of physical exertion. May require some lifting, but no more than 50 lbs. Not always a sedentary position; will require some walking to/from and in/out chair. It does require flexibility of working in various areas of the clinic when necessary, and some outreach. Confidentiality and precise data entry is a must. Punctuality and assigned work schedule.
Salary Information: $62.70/Hr. | 3 days/week | No benefits
