Listing Summary

SUMMARY: This position performs all equipment operation work in the maintenance of city roads and drainage. This position reports directly to the Roads & Drainage Foreman.

MAJOR DUTIES:

·Operates assigned equipment in the maintenance and repair of City Roadway, Sidewalks and Drainage systems, including gasoline and diesel-powered automotive and heavy equipment, light to heavy duty trucks, tractors, excavators, packers, rollers and various machines, tools and power equipment;

·Catch basins, drip inlets and facilities;

·Performs daily inspections on maintenance vehicles and equipment used on the job; documents and records missing equipment and/or needed repairs;

·Checks and maintains equipment, trucks, trailers and power tools;

·Collects and disposes of debris, trash, etc., on job site;

·Performs other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 

High School diploma or equivalent; two (2) years manual labor experience; must possess or have ability to possess and maintain valid Georgia CDL  (Class A) license within six months of employment; equivalent combination of education and experience.

SALARY: $18.00 HOURLY
