POSITION TITLE:  Leisure Aide FY24-56

                                    (Part-time, 20 hours per week)

DEPARTMENT:      Parks and Recreation

ENTRY SALARY:   $14.86 per hour, plus prorated benefits

JOB SUMMARY:  This position assists in the implementation of assigned leisure services, programs, and events. Assists in coordinating and developing leisure programs. Assists in coordinating special events. Distributes public relations materials for programs and activities. Assists in program and event set-up and break-down. Assists in the routine cleaning and maintenance of community centers. Monitors programs and behavior of participants; enforces policies, procedures, rules as needed. Assists in managing equipment inventory; ensures the proper use of equipment; oversees the issuing and return of equipment. Monitors special events. Performs related duties.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Ability to read, write and perform mathematical calculations at a level commonly associated with the completion of high school or equivalent. Sufficient experience to understand the basic principles relevant to the major duties of the position, usually associated with the completion of an apprenticeship/internship or having had a similar position for one to two years.
