ENTRY SALARY:  $23.18 per hour, plus benefits

JOB SUMMARY: This position performs assigned accounting functions in support of the county’s financial operations. Receives and processes revenue from county departments and prepares bank deposits. Processes accounts receivable. Oversees county grant program, policies, and procedures. Sorts payroll checks. Maintains and monitors vehicle gas cards issues to departments. Enters payroll changes for employees. Reconciles bank accounts as assigned. Reconciles special revenue funds, trust funds, and enterprise funds as assigned. Assists with annual audits. Prepares journal entries. Prepares a variety of financial reports. Reconciles LMIG and tracks funds for Public Works. Performs related duties.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Knowledge and level of competency commonly associated with the completion of a baccalaureate degree in a course of study related to the occupational field. Sufficient experience to understand the basic principles relevant to the major duties of the position, usually associated with the completion of an apprenticeship/internship or having had a similar position for one to two years.
