Accounting Technician

Listing Summary

The Putnam County Board of Commissioners is now accepting applications for the position of Accounting Technician. This position consists of performing accounting and clerical tasks, processing accounts payable, accounts receivable, sales tax reports, maintaining fixed asset records, and entering data on a computer.  The successful applicant should have accounts payable experience; knowledge of data entry procedures and computer functions; knowledge of the techniques for establishing and maintaining files; knowledge of general bookkeeping practices; skill in operating a computer with speed and accuracy; skill in operating various office equipment such as a calculator, printer, copier and computer; skill in oral and written communications; skill in mathematical calculations; skill in Microsoft products, specifically excel and experience sufficient to thoroughly understand the work usually associated with one to three years of experience. 

This is a full-time position and compensation will be based on qualifications, education, experience, and the current county pay scale.
