Job Title:  Firefighter/EMT-B
Department: Dawson County Fire & Emergency Services
Salary:  $56,448.92/Annually DOQ
**Plus $1 per hour med unit incentive
**Plus opportunity for one-time $2,000 sign-on incentive
Status: Full-Time/Hourly/Non-Exempt

Job Summary:
Performs a variety of emergency operations to protect lives and property in simul­taneous fire suppression, search and rescue, and patient care activities and assures that all emergency equipment remains ready at all times to respond to emergency and non-emergency situations.

Job Requirements:
Applicant must be at least 18 years of age, possess a GED or high school diploma, Emergency Medical Technician certification (EMT-B), Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification, First Class Firefighter's Certification or NPQ I, Georgia Basic Firefighters certification.  A valid class E or F driver’s license and a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record (MVR), good verbal and written communications, have some knowledge of applicable state laws and county ordinances and ability to communicate with the public on a daily basis.  Applicant must be able to pass a Physical Agility Test along with Background Check and Drug Screen.
