ENTRY SALARY:  $21.00 per hour, plus benefits

JOB SUMMARY: This position is responsible for coordinating the department’s administrative functions. Answers telephone and greets visitors; provides information and assistance; takes messages; refers to appropriate personnel. Composes and prepares correspondence and reports. Receives, scans, and files documents. Receives, sorts, and processes incoming and outgoing mail. Prepares and distributes job postings; accepts and processes employment applications; forwards applications to appropriate departments. Maintains the department website. Completes HR TruCheck background forms for potential new hires and submits completed data to vendor. Prepares new hire packets for employee orientation and assists with the orientation process; submits new hire data for Georgia New Hire Reporting and E-Verify.  Maintains office supply inventory; reorders as needed. Receives and scans all terminated employee records for retention purposes. Completes employment verifications. Performs related duties.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Knowledge and level of competency commonly associated with completion of specialized training in the field of work, in addition to basic skills typically associated with a high school education. Sufficient experience to understand the basic principles relevant to the major duties of the position, usually associated with the completion of an apprenticeship/internship or having had a similar position for one to two years.
