The city is seeking a business-focused intern who will serve as an Ambassador, assisting in gathering business data in person and on the phone that will be used for business retention and expansion purposes. Work on this project will take place two days a week, Tuesdays and Thursdays. On Wednesdays, the student has the option of shadowing city staff or be otherwise introduced to an area of city government work. On Fridays, the intern will spend time assisting the marketing and communications director with the creation of a website, branding and research.
The purpose of the Summer Ambassador position is to establish an up-to-date directory to increase the communication between businesses and the city and identify industry clusters and synergies.
This is a paid internship. The location is Peachtree Corners, GA.
The intern should have a grade point average of 2.5 or above, be at least 18 years of age and business- and/or economics-focused. The student should have a driver’s license and their own vehicle and laptop. This candidate should be congenial and creative and dress professionally, as they will be representing the city government.
