The City of Bowdon, Georgia, population 2200, with an annual operating budget of $4.2 million and a staff of 27 full-time employees, is seeking candidates for the position of City Manager.  This position serves as the chief administrative officer of the City, responsible to the Mayor and a four-member City Council for the administration and daily operations of the City.  City functions and services include codes enforcement, police, recreation, library, and a vibrant community/downtown development program.  The City also operates water, wastewater, and sanitation utilities.

Minimum qualifications:  Bachelor’s degree in public or business administration or related field with five years of progressively responsible experience as a City Manager or Assistant City Manager.  Salary range: $80,000 - $100,000, commensurate with background and experience.
