The City of East Point, Georgia, a growing community southwest of Atlanta, seeks a motivational people-person to serve as its next City Manager. This experienced municipal executive will join a community that desires to be the most sought after, safe, and diverse community in Georgia, offering small city charm with big city amenities. The City Manager, with the support of a Deputy City Manager, leads nearly 600 employees with direct supervision of various departments. The City Manager supervises and manages daily operations and develops and manages the City’s budget, FY 23 – 24 budget of $190.9M (General Fund Budget = $57.2M), which is supported by a tax rate of $.13 per $100 of assessed tax value.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate must have a minimum of a bachelor's degree and 10 - 12 years of progressively responsible experience in local government, or related field, including five years as a senior executive managing more than one department. Preferred qualifications include familiarity with GA municipal management, a master's degree, and ICMA credentialing.
Salary and Benefits: The hiring range for this position is $185,000 to $200,000. The starting salary is based on experience and qualifications. East Point provides a comprehensive benefits package.
