The City of Kennesaw, GA is recruiting an Information Technology Director.  The position is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the Information Technology Department.  Key responsibilities include providing leadership and administrative oversight to the City IT department and staff members responsible for the development, maintenance and operation of IT and GIS services.

A successful candidate will have experience in technology planning, business application support, GIS/911/Police technology oversight, network services and management, cyber security assessments, desktop/mobile system sustainment, telephone systems upkeep, and web/internet services coordination.

The City of Kennesaw is located in Cobb County just outside of I-285.  The City is just 35 miles from Hartsfield-Jackson Airport and is in close proximity to Atlanta.

The City has thriving neighborhoods, a healthy mix of retail and restaurants, diverse housing, and is considered to be a safe, inviting and engaged community.   

The position requires the successful candidate to meet the following qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in in field of study related to information technology.

• Experience sufficient to thoroughly understand the diverse objectives and functions of the department in order to direct and coordinate work.

• Experience and training can serve as a replacement for education credits.  Must be able to obtain a valid Georgia driver’s license.

The hiring salary range for this position is $115,000 - $120,000.
