We are looking for a dynamic individual to join our team as a Construction Specialist.
The Construction Specialist is responsible for the preparation of detailed work specifications, cost estimates, construction management, and problem- solving on housing rehabilitation, new construction projects and special projects sponsored by the Department and associated with the federal, state, and local funded programs. The Construction Specialist position also includes inspections of housing, construction worksites and special projects.
Knowledge and Skills: The Construction Specialist must be knowledgeable of the following principles, procedures, and concepts:
MInimum Qualification: The Construction Specialist should have, at a minimum, a High School Diploma or GED, post-secondary trade school or Associate’s Degree preferred and five (5) years of experience in residential construction with extensive knowledge of housing rehabilitation and new construction materials, methods, spec writing, estimating, and codes.
