911 Communications Officer


Listing Summary

Pickens County is seeking a full-time 911 Communications Officers.

Starting pay is $14.72 hourly

Full-time employees are eligible for medical, dental, vision, life, and supplemental benefits after the waiting period. Full-time employees are also eligible for vacation, sick leave, paid holidays and County Retirement.

This position is responsible for receiving, monitoring, and dispatching radio communications traffic for the public safety agencies throughout the county, including all E-911 calls. 

Candidate must be willing to work 12 hour rotating shifts on nights, weekends, and holidays.

Minimum qualifications: High School Diploma or GED; 18 years of age or older; ability to type 25 words per minute; and computer knowledge is preferred. Must possess or have the ability to obtain GCIC/NCIC certification
