Bus Driver Trainees (South) 

Training program position serving as pipeline toward regular full-time or part-time Bus Driver position; Successfully completes lecture-based and hands-on State and Department required training to obtain CDL B and required endorsements in preparation to operate school buses safely under all types of weather conditions and transport students and other authorized persons to and from school on regular, special education, and Magnet routes Note: This is a part-time non-benefitted position

Required Education

None required

Certification/Licensure

Must have or be able to obtain a CDL B with Passenger and Air Brake and School Bus endorsements;

Successful completion of pre-employment and random drug testing

Successful completion of pre-employment physical and TB testing with result clearance

Annual physical examination with result clearance

Must successfully complete Bus Driver Training Program provided by Fulton County Schools Transportation Department and obtain CDL B and required endorsements within three (3) test attempts to continue employment with the FCBOE

Experience Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years driving experience required; Exemplary driving record classified as no more than 2 moving violations in current 7 year driving history
