Chief Appraiser Position: Candler County Chief Appraiser [Appraiser III].
Job Description: Successful candidate will be the Chief Appraiser of a small, mostly rural county and responsible for all aspects of the Candler County Tax Assessors Office as required under the provisions of O.C.G.A., Title 48, Chapter 5, Department of Revenue Rules and Regulations; the Appraisal Procedures Manual; and the Candler County Board of Assessor’s Policies.
Minimum Qualifications: Candidates should have experience in real property appraisal, real property transactions, taxation or local government.

Appraiser III Certification from the State of Georgia is required for this position
An applicant may be considered without existing certification if they demonstrate skills and experience required for the position and the ability to obtain the required certification within 12 months of employment. Employer will consider applicants who may obtain certification and will structure compensation, training and travel costs reflective of experience and certification level.

Salary Range: $50,000 to $56,000 [depending upon experience].
