LATERAL TRANSFER OPPORTUNITY FOR:

Firefighter, Advanced Firefighter, and Apparatus Operator

Chatham Emergency Services is actively seeking currently certified and experienced firefighters for its lateral hire program. Firefighter, Advanced Firefighter, and Apparatus Operator positions are available based on meeting position specific experience, certifications/licenses, and education.

Candidate testing process includes an online written aptitude exam, physical agility test, full drug screen, in person interview, firefighter medical evaluation and fitness assessment (NFPA 1582), and a comprehensive background and driving history search. Candidate must successfully complete all pre-hire requirements to be considered.

Compensation

*Starting salary is based on years of experience, certifications, and licenses; plus, benefits.

~ Firefighter $35,437.40 - $38,981.14*

~ Advanced Firefighter $38,944.40 - $42,838.84*

~ Apparatus Operator 1 (Engine) $43,319.80 - $47,651.78*

~ Apparatus Operator 2 (Truck) $45,424.00 - $49,966.40*
