Listing Summary

The Building Official will inspect new construction and repair or renovation to existing construction of building and structures and oversees the issuance of building permits. To perform inspections of buildings, remodeling/construction work, and building codes and to ensure the health, safety, and welfare of the public. May hire, train, and oversee building inspectors. May oversee the scheduling, assignments, and daily workflow of building inspector staff in the department. Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations.
