Georgia Bikes

Listing Summary

This is a remote position; incumbent can be located anywhere in Georgia, conditional upon ED approval. See posting for more information and instructions on applying: https://tinyurl.com/GB-BWPM

The Bike-Walk Planning Manager (BWPM) is a senior-level planning professional who works to transform the future of transportation decision-making and funding in Georgia. The BWPM oversees local and state-level planning projects, stakeholder involvement, and analysis; provides an expert voice, educates, and shares information; and assists the Executive Director by supporting the growth of both Georgia Bikes and statewide bike-walk communities. The BWPM is a highly responsible self-starter, has advanced technical skills, writes flawlessly, and has experience incorporating equity into planning projects. Funded through 2/25/2025; carryover is likely.

This position is contract-funded through February 25, 2025 with a salary of $50,000-$65,000 (depending on qualifications) and a budgeted annual increase. Incentive-based pay supplements may be available to an exceptionally experienced candidate. We offer a SIMPLE IRA plan with contributions matched up to 3% of salary and a stipend to assist with health insurance costs; paid vacation (10 days/yr.), holidays (10 days/yr.), and sick leave; and a stipend for employees working exclusively from home. We financially support continuing education for staff, and travel costs are reimbursable with prior approval and per funding guidelines. Additionally, staff are eligible for substantial discounts and pro deals on bicycling and outdoors products. We are a team of passionate, friendly bike-walk advocates.

Flexible Work Environment

As a small nonprofit organization, Georgia Bikes is able to offer considerable flexibility (pending ED approval) in work location (including home office, co-working space, or modest allowance for office rental), schedule, use of holidays, and job duties/priorities. We also encourage our team members to spend work time partnering with and assisting local advocates in their communities.
