Seeking Commission Clerk to serve as clerk of the commission. Candidate establishes and maintains the zoning records of the department. Work independently, filing and archiving zoning records, maintaining zoning records and serve as clerk of zoning hearings.

This is an on-site, in-office, position.
The potential candidate acts as clerk to the Macon-Bibb County Planning & Zoning Commission and Design Review Board; prepares meeting room, distribute meeting materials, records and transcribes and maintain minutes. Candidate should possess well-developed filing skills and exceptional writing skills. Candidate should possess the ability to prepare accurate and complete meeting minutes, which includes proficiency in MS Word. Works independently and exercise good judgment in making decisions. Prepares and distributes timely records requests. Compose letters and memos, effectively communicate with supervisors, co-workers, and the public in person and over the telephone, operate office machines such as a personal computer and copy machine. Candidates should have skills in basic knowledge of board meeting’s rules and order.
Requirements: Must possess and maintain a valid Georgia driver’s license in good standing and pass a pre-employment drug screen and background checks.

Competitive Salary Range: Annual Salary $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
