Job Summary:

This position is responsible for managing the All-Star Cheerleading Program, instructing all cheer classes, and All-Star Cheerleading squad.

Major Duties:

  • Instructs stunting, tumbling, and jump cheerleading classes.
  • Instructs the competitive All-Star Cheerleading Squads.
  • Registers the gym and makes sure all athletes are registered with USASF.
  • Maintains USASF profile for the gym makes sure all athletes are placed on their proper team, all competitions that each team will be attending are added and makes sure the proper paperwork needed for competitions are completed correctly.
  • Registers and completes the payments the competitive cheerleading squad will be attending.
  • Assists with making sure all athletes are up to date on their monthly tuition.
  • Stay up to date with USASF rules and policies for the gym and athletes that are a part of the All-Star Cheerleading Competitive Squad.
  • Attends all the All-Star Cheerleading Squads competitions.
  • Abide by competition hosting sites rules.
  • Completes all necessary paperwork that is required by outside organizations.
  • Communicates with all parents: (1) Classes: The progress of their athlete, provide strength work and drills that could help them improve or achieve the goals the athlete has set, and when registration for classes will begin. (2) All-Star Cheerleading Competitive Squad: competitions they will be attending, payments that are due, rules for the athletes, events that will be taking place, and organize parent meetings.
  • Works with the cheer representatives to create cheer gear (uniforms, cheer shoes, practice wear, warm-ups, and any additional spirit wear).
  • Creates cheerleading skill charts for the cheer classes and implements them in the cheer classes.
  • Plans and organizes events.
  • Keeps the supervisor up to date on the cheer program.
  • Helps maintain the cleanliness of the gym.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Background in tumbling, All-Star Cheerleading, and working with kids from ages 6-18.
  • Coaching Experience.
  • Willingness to attend trainings, be trained, and train staff on safety and proper technique with instructing cheerleading.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate positively and professionally.
  • Physically able to spot and be hands on with all athletes apart of the cheer program.

The successful candidate must pass a Background/Reference Check, and Pre-Employment Drug Screenings prior to the start of employment.
