The Assistant Solicitor I is responsible for assisting the Solicitor-General in the performance of statutory and other legal duties involving the prosecution of all criminal misdemeanor cases.
The Assistant Solicitor I must possess a Law Degree from an accredited law school. While preference will be given to a member already in good standing with the State Bar of Georgia, we will consider applicants who took the July 2022 Georgia Bar Exam and are awaiting their results. We are looking for a self-starter who is task oriented with the ability to work independently and the desire to learn and grow in the profession. Applicants should have sufficient familiarity with criminal and law and procedure to successfully perform the duties and responsibilities of the position. Internship, third year practice in law, law journal and/or participation in Mock Trial or Moot Court will be considered towards experience
